The World's Fastest Cars 2021

The American automaker Shelby SuperCars (SSC) broke the speed record for a production car with Tuatara. At approximately eleven kilometers, this sports car reached an average speed of 509 kilometers per hour, clearly replacing the previous record holder, Chiron by Bugatti.

As this infographic shows, according to motorsport data, SSC Tuatara is the first car on the list of the fastest Supercars to break the 500 km/h barrier. In its record test, the car even reached a top speed of 533 kilometers per hour. Such a high speed cannot be achieved even in the fastest racing series, such as Indycar or Formula One; racing at such high speeds would also be too dangerous.
